Peach Cafe
A leafy, family-friendly brunch spot in an Auchenflower Queenslander.
Overview
Tucked into a restored Queenslander, Peach Cafe is the kind of neighbourhood spot that quickly becomes part of the weekly routine. Inside, it's leafy and plant-filled, with a dog-friendly garden out the back. A neighbourhood playground sits right next door, so the little ones can burn off energy while you finish your coffee.
The all-day brunch menu mixes cafe classics with a few bolder moves. Keep it simple with eggs on local sourdough, or go for the Morning Glow: smashed avo with pumpkin hummus, chickpea cracker and maple pepitas. The Chilli Scram V5.0 piles soft scrambled eggs with gochujang chilli sauce and fried shallot salt onto sourdough. The Adults Only dippy eggs come with sourdough soldiers and a choice of miso or truffle hollandaise. Sweet tooths should head straight for the dulce de leche hotcake with hokey pokey ice cream and biscoff crumble, or the tropical granola with mango panna cotta and passionfruit.

Come lunchtime, there's plenty of heft too. Choose from a Mr Potato Head burger with panko potato hash, a wagyu Cowboy Cheeseburger with smokehouse barbecue sauce and onion rings, crunchy prawn tacos, and a hot honey gochujang fried chicken bowl. Vegans are well catered for, and there's a dedicated little ones' menu, right down to the Teddy Bears Picnic hot chocolate.
Coffee runs on specialty beans from Paradox Coffee. If you're after something else, find cold-pressed juices, iced teas and strawberry milk matcha.
