Brisbane Comedy Festival

With a suitably intimate venue for gracious belly laughs, there will be no need to go seeking LOLs elsewhere.

Overview

Some of us go to great lengths to get a laugh – seeing comedy films, tripping people over with a sly shoe in, or even the cult favourite, laughter yoga. But every year around March, the good people at the Powerhouse bring the laughs with the hilarious Brisbane Comedy Festival.

This year the lineup is pretty fantastic, with Stephen K Amos leading the international stakes, and Tom Ballard doing it for the home crowd. Much like the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, there will be performances over a week long stint, with most comedians starring more than once, so there's no chance you'll miss an opportunity to be thoroughly amused.

See if Tom Gleeson is still pulling the rednut card, if Charlie Pickering isn't all repressed from his prime time Project and if Frank Woodley can do it without Lano. They'll be alongside Hannah Gadsby, Wil Andersen, Sam Simmons, David O'Doherty and the very big Tom Green of The Tom Green Show/Freddy Got Fingered.

With a suitably intimate venue for gracious belly laughs, there will be no need to go seeking LOLs elsewhere.
