Julika Rudelius
The Institute of Modern Art is showcasing the new visual art piece by Julika Rudelius – a look at high-society and materialist living.
Overview
Julika Rudelius is a German video and performance artist. Her work explores themes of “emotional dependency, politics, abuse, and power”.
Her latest series is a detailed look at high society, fashion victims, political-minded individuals and sex-crazed youths in an exposition of matierialism, self-worth and identity.
IMA is screening her latest piece, which is displayed in a double-screen video projection of several women being interviewed by Julika herself on the topic of aging, privilege and plastic surgery.
This is reportedly a gripping look at the inner anxieties and fears of western society’s elite, something not to be missed.
