Overview

If there's an occasion worth celebrating, including Christmas, spring and winter, Woolloongabba's South City Square has marked it with markets in the past. The inner-east precinct can still roll out the stalls just because, however — such as on Friday, April 12, when it's hosting a Latino Fiesta Pop-Up.

Running from 4–8.30pm, this after-work event goes heavy on bites that'll make your tastebuds believe that they're in Latin and South America. Think: empanadas, tacos and arepas for starters, with food trucks taking over the place.

Tunes are also on the agenda, getting Latin music echoing. Latin dancing is part of the fun as well, complete with a salsa instructor. And, of course, there'll be market stalls aplenty.

Entry is free, as is onsite parking for five hours, as the Latino Fiesta Pop-Up joins South City Square's monthly series — with a Vegan Laneway Festival, Asian Hawker Market and European Food Trail also set to come in 2024.
