Overview

Curator and writer Lisa Bryan-Brown brings together a collection of Brisbane's best artists for the exhibition Less.

Less is collection of work that explores the common ground and differences between ten early-career creatives: Helen Bird, Courtney Coombs, Michelle Eskola, Loki Groves, Madeleine Keinonen, Zoe Knight, Angelica Roache-Wilson, Matthew Sneesby, Rachael Wellisch and Elizabeth Willing. All work in the field of post-minimalism and broach the issues of affect, perception and beauty, with Less celebrating their fondness for abstract post-minimal practice and aesthetics.<

Curator Lisa Bryan-Brown is also a writer whose recent essays include Leena Riethmuller: Bodily Purity and the Simultaneous Dichotomies in the work of Yannick Blattner catalogue for the It's all gone Shane Warne: 708 wickets in one hour exhibition with Inhouse ARI.

Less will showcase at The Laundry Artspace this Thursday from 6pm.
