Overview

A trip to Northshore Hamilton usually means taking in the scenery, whether you're staring at the river, the grassy surroundings right there on its banks or both. But until Sunday, July 10, there's something else to look at that you won't see all-year-round: sculptures big and small.

Presented by Sculptors Queensland, two-month-long exhibition Northshore Sculpture by the River is showcasing works by its members, featuring pieces on display both indoors and out — and in all shapes and sizes, too. Peer at sculpted animals, people, fantastical critters, abstract forms, shapes and more, all for free.

There are two parts to the event. Kicking things off, the indoor portion runs from Friday, May 6–Tuesday, May 24, open 10am–4pm Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with Monday, Tuesday and Thursday viewings by appointment, all in The Shed at the Hamilton precinct.

Or, wander around outdoors from Friday, May 13–Sunday, July 10 to spot sculptures around Northshore's Maritime Green.
