Overview

When you're sitting at a bar with five dice in your hand, you find out something important about yourself. Are you the kind of person who can easily roll a winning combination? Or, do you need a few tries, and then a few more? Of course, it really all comes down to luck, but that's the fun of playing Yahtzee — and participating in The Scratch Bar's First Annual Yahtzee Tournament.

Yes, the board game everyone played as a kid is back. This time, however, you can play and drink pints at the same time. The Milton bar will also offer up prizes every time someone rolls a Yahtzee — that is, five of the same dice, in case you've forgotten the rules — if you needed some extra incentive to take part. It's all as simple as that, really, with tipples flowing through the taps and Alphabet Cafe toasties giving you some extra winning energy.

If that sounds like your idea of an enjoyable Saturday afternoon, head on down to Park Road from 2pm on February 17. The games will begin at 3pm, and while pre-registration is encouraged via email, it's not essential.
