Overview

As a sci-fi TV series about alien abductions, unexplained happenings, UFOs, conspiracies and all manner of odd occurrences, plenty of strange things have happened on The X-Files. The sewer-dwelling man-like monster. The talking tattoo. The Cops episode. Jerry Springer showing up. Mulder dancing at a cowboy bar.

The list goes on, and with the show set to return in early 2018, it's only going to grow. Only Brisbanites can enjoy Brisbane Arts Theatre's X-Files: The Musical, however. In an Australian premiere production running from April 15 to June 4, the truth is out there all right — in song, and on the stage.

Tape an X to your window, pack yourself some sunflower seeds as snacks and grab your best super-bright torch, as Mulder and Scully are coming to Petrie Terrace. You'll want to believe in this song-filled parody about a half-human, half-animal hybrid that could be Mulder's long-missing sister. Trust us (when you're not trusting no one, that is). And if that's not enough off-screen weirdness for you, David Duchovny himself is also touring Australia next year — as a singer, at his own concerts, and sadly not as part of this show. Still, it's quite the coincidence.
