Overview
His food tastes were legendary (not to mention potentially lethal), but if you've ever wanted to eat like the King, here's your chance. For one afternoon only, two of Brisbane's favourite eateries are combining forces to conjure up a meal inspired by the one and only Elvis Presley. You just know it's going to be tasty, unhealthy and something you can't help falling in love with.
Yes, Chur Burger is teaming up with Doughnut Time to create something no one should probably consume, but everyone will rush to devour anyway. That'd be the Elvis burger, a one-off concoction only served from 3pm on May 5 while stocks last. We don't expect it'll take long for this mouthwatering dish to rush out the door and into eager bellies.
So, just what can you expect from this hunk of burning meat and dough? What can't you expect is probably the better question. Chur’s famous pork belly will be topped with bacon, peanut butter, fried banana and maple syrup, but that's not all. You'll find all this not on a roll, but on a Doughnut Time doughnut.
Your arteries are saying no, but your stomach is saying yes, as are your taste buds. Maybe slip on your blue suede shoes so that you can dance away all the kilojoules afterwards.
The Elvis Burger will be on sale from 3pm on May 5 at Chur Burger. Check out the Facebook pages for Chur Burger and Doughnut Time for more information.
