Stuffed naan overflowing with lamb and slaw. Soft shell crab with coconut chutney. Browned butter potato paneer fritters. Sounds like fusion, doesn't it? Meet Colour Me Flavour, Woolloongabba's new Indian-inspired eatery with a difference.
There's spice a plenty here, plus many menu items you'll recognise; however, that's only part of the story. Blending the expected with the new and surprising is what this Annerley Road restaurant is all about. As the above selection shows, they're well and truly managing that.
With a Bollywood mosaic adorning the back of the venue, that's the kind of cuisine your Gujarat-loving tastebuds are going to get — with everything influenced by, and reinterpreting tastes and traditions from, the state in western India. Given that they're serving up inventive dishes that make you realise you haven't tried every variation of the country's culinary wares, you'd best arrive hungry.
