Move over Sizzler, there's a new salad bar in town. And, like the chain everyone frequented during their childhood, there's more than lettuce on the menu at Graceville's new Greens & Grains.
Don't get us wrong: the healthy food-focused takeaway cafe from the folks behind Nantucket Kitchen & Bar is as great as it sounds, complete with everything from kale salads to quiches on offer. It's the items that go beyond that that will really win you over, though. Fancy some pre-packaged pulled meats to take home with you for dinner? Or meringues from Lucid Sweets and baked treats from New Farm favourite Choquette? Well, you're in luck.
It's all worth making a trip to the western suburbs for, even if getting your dishes to go is the preferred option. And while you're there, you'll soak up a piece of local history, with Greens & Grains located in a heritage-listed shop constructed by Walter Taylor — aka the guy the bridge you'll probably cross to get there is named after.
