Overview

After starting life as a market stall, Kiss The Berry now brings organic acai goodness to the Brisbane CBD on a permanent basis. Famous for their acai (ah-SAH-ee) creations, either frozen bowls or smoothies made of acai berry, fresh fruit and a dash of juice are whizzed together and topped with crunchy granola, more fresh fruit and locally sourced honey. If you haven't heard, the acai berry is a #superfood and super foods are so hot right now, especially if you are #cleaneating. Blended up, they describe this Amazonian fruit as tasting like a 'fruit sorbet with hints of dark chocolate and red wine'. Nothing bad about chocolate and wine, especially when it's for breakfast.

We opted for the original bowl ($10.50) and had no regrets. The cold and fruity blend of acai was topped with fresh strawberries, banana, honey and chia seed with the most delicious granola underneath. As a sucker for good granola, the cold/smooth/crunchy combo makes this the best, yes the best, acai bowl ever tasted. Ever.

With five more adventurous flavours on offer (snickers bowl here we come) and a changing seasonal menu, chances are we'll be back again first thing tomorrow morning to add another stamp to our loyalty card.
