L'arte - CLOSED
Great coffee, great food and great people. Indulge in the lovely Lárte experience.
Overview
There are not many cafés in Brisbane where you can really escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a coffee and bite to eat without feeling like you're on the clock dodging evil eyes from the onlookers wanting your seat. Comfort, great coffee and great hospitality are often hard to find in our big, beautiful city.
I was beginning to have my doubts about finding a café escape that would really set apart from the rest, until the morning I walked past Lárte.
It's adorable interior is both inviting and cozy. The selection of homemade cakes, savoury muffins, pies and sandwiches on display is mouth watering and affordable. As a personal recommendation, the vegetable stack (zucchini and avocado fritter filled with eggplant, goats cheese and capsicum) is ridiculously good. Although it looks like a light meal, it will leave you feeling full and satisfied. The ice coffee is also brilliant when supported by banana bread or a vege muffin with pesto and sour cream.
All menu options are very healthy and well portioned. You can really tell when people put love and time into food prep. You will notice this with all the food. Compared to the other restaurants and cafe's on Riding Road, everything is very fairly priced, which is something that is surprisingly hard to find in the Hawthorne/Bulimba area. Although the burbs are quite luxurious, it's no excuse for over-priced coffee.
Lárte's outdoor seating area provides a warm ambiance with dinning tables surrounding lovely leafy foliage. Great for both dinning in groups and escaping reality to relax for a coffee on a nice day, Lárte's got it all.
As I sit outside to write this review (yes, they also have free Wi-Fi) I can't help but think the only thing nicer than the food is the lovely, hospitable staff who really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome.
