Overview

There's never been a better time to be a fan of warm, filled bread products in Brisbane — and, to be honest, the city's range of burgers and toasted sandwiches have never looked so good. Take Project 41 Cafe, for example. Since setting up shop in February, they've been wowing Bowen Hills with their eclectic menu.

Actually, even a subsection of their offerings is enough to make most jaws drop, particularly when the all-day range in question brings several twists to the comfort food fave that is the jaffle. Bacon and egg, chipotle baked beans, and smoked pork hock with béchamel and gruyere really are just the beginning, with spaghetti bolognaise, truffled mac 'n' cheese, and Nutella and banana also on offer.

Other than doing their part for Brissie's current toasted bread craze, the bright eatery also serves up 14-hour barbecue beef brisket, pulled pork, peri peri chicken and grilled haloumi subs, a selection of hearty salads, a gut-warming soup of the day, and even recently added mushroom burgers to their lineup. Add not only Blackstar Coffee, but a rotating invitational spot that showcases the best local, national and New Zealand beans, and you're not going to leave either hungry or thirsty.
