GoBoat Picnic on the River

Overview

GoBoat hands you the wheel of an eight-seater, pet-friendly electric boat on the Brisbane River with no boat licence needed — just a quick briefing before you're steering yourselves. Each boat has a built-in recycled-timber picnic table down the middle and an overhead sunshade canopy, purpose-built for grazing on the water rather than just cruising.

Bookings run from one to six hours, with BYO food and (limited) alcohol allowed on board — just no cookers or open flames. Between the quiet electric motor and the group actually being in charge of where it goes, it's less a boat tour than a floating picnic you happen to be driving yourselves.
