The Affordable Art Fair Presents 75-Plus Galleries and Hundreds of Wall-Worthy Finds This November, With Prices Starting From $100
Returning to Carriageworks, more than 18,000 people are expected to explore the next instalment of this annual art extravaganza.
One thing is certain: the Affordable Art Fair is one of the best opportunities to refresh your home with a little more colour and flair. And with the Sydney edition returning to Carriageworks for the second time from Monday, November 5–Thursday, November 8, getting to know the program means you can discover great pieces from leading galleries and catch all the unskippable live events, kid-friendly encounters and foodie endeavours.
With over 75 galleries in attendance, including a host of returning favourites, Potts Points' Becker Minty is making its debut, featuring a standout blend of contemporary art, design and culture. Plus, emerging photography collective Exposure Theory will showcase the fine art perspectives of Tony Potts, Wendy Coombes and Barney Maple, while Melbourne-based galleries like Outre Gallery, Sol Gallery and Bandit Gallery journey up the coast.
"Sydney has really embraced Affordable Art Fair, and after such a strong response last year, we're excited to come back with our biggest Fair yet. There's a fantastic energy around art in Sydney right now, and we're bringing together an even broader mix of galleries and artists to give visitors the chance to discover something new, unexpected and completely their own," says Australian Fair Director Georgia Huestis.
The Artist in Action live demonstrations return, featuring renowned creatives like Holly Eva, Jud Keresztesi, Sally and Ben Ryan, and Marianne Le Cheaf. And like previous iterations, a host of fascinating installations will welcome guests to the event. In 2026, these include Chris Riley's Blue Sky World — pairing Queensland sunshine with Palm Springs style — and Jackie Case's Art ATM, a repeat favourite where visitors insert a drawing idea and it emerges from the machine shortly after.
As you browse the huge collections on display — priced from $100 to $10,000, as always — sip back a glass of wine from Peter Lehmann Wines. Meanwhile, Queensland's Claudio Kirac has curated this year's Children's Art Studio, offering a kaleidoscopic space for budding artists of all ages, complete with face painting and pram parking. By the time you walk out the door, there's a good chance you'll have a few new affordable, attractive pieces to hang at home.
"For us, it's about creating an environment where art feels approachable and enjoyable — whether you're looking to add to your collection, on the hunt for something special for your home, or simply want to spend a few hours surrounded by creativity," says Huestis. "This year's program adds another layer to that experience, with sculptures, live artmaking, hands-on activities for kids and plenty of opportunities to meet the people behind the artwork."
