Best of Sydney 2015: Best New Bar
Sydney's only spritz den to the city's first distillery in 160 years, all killing it despite lockouts.
Sydney's bars have been reclaiming the night in the face of prevailing lockout laws, one solid Negroni at a time. At Concrete Playground we encourage exploration and showcase innovation in our city — and our watering holes — every day, so we are very pleased to announce our picks for Best New Bar in Concrete Playground's Best of Sydney 2015 Awards. From entire spritz menus to cigarette-inspired cocktails, these six outstanding bars have been handpicked by CP for their innovation, originality, cracking menus and outstanding service — but, for us, it was Archie Rose that led the pack this year. They created Sydney's first distillery in 160 years, started producing some killer gin and gave us somewhere sweet to drink it. Nice work, guys — we love what you do.
