Overview

Melbourne has a serious love affair with Mexican culture and, in particular, its cuisine. On September 15, Federation Square will turn into a hub of all things Mexican, honing in on things you can drink, things you can eat and something you can dance to.

The 'eat' part of the day will be taken care of my the many Mexican venues across our fine city, including Chingon Taqueria y Cantina, Chido Taco Truck, Blue Corn, Santa Ana Tapas Bar, Mamasita, Taco Bill Mexican Restaurant, Touche Hombre, Los Amates, Mexico City, Mad Mex, The Black Toro, South American Barbecue, Lulo, Salsa's, Dos Por Favor and Guzman y Gomez.

The 'drink' component will see traditional Mexican drinks being served by the team behind Tequila Tromba. Think beer, tequila and Mexican soft drinks.

Abbie Cardwell and the Chicano Rockers will be on hand getting everyone up and dancing while fresh produce, market stalls and activities will keep guests entertained for the rest of the day.
