Fans of Bar Josephine and Pie Thief will be pleased to hear that the same team is now slinging cocktails behind the bar of this dimly lit speakeasy.

The drinks list differs somewhat from the beer-focused offerings of sister venue Bar Josephine; instead, this 25-seater churns out innovative cocktails to accompany an oft unconventional, but well-balanced, wine list. The cocktails really take centrestage here, though. They are either signature creations or riffs on the classics, with the menu crediting each libation to its origins.

The wine list is all about the natural, the minimal intervention and the biodynamic, covering a wide range of idiosyncratic styles and all available by the glass. If you're feeling peckish, grab a few plates of cheese and charcuterie, or perhaps the anchovies with sourdough, to enjoy as you sip on some meticulously thought-out cocktails in this soon-to-be Footscray favourite.
