Overview

One of Melbourne's most iconic landmarks, Federation Square, has welcomed a new urban pub and beer garden to expand its hospitality offering. Good Nature Hotel is an all-weather venue, set to become a new social hub in one of the city's busiest cultural and sporting precincts.

Good Nature Hotel takes over the former Beer Deluxe Site, with a fresh, nature-led feel. The easy-going, year-round outdoor venue provides city-goers and CBD workers with a place to pause, take a breath, and have a break in the middle of a busy day.

"Good Nature is about creating a place where people can come together, whether it's for a casual lunch, after-work drinks, live sport, family outing or weekend celebration. We wanted the venue to feel fresh and relaxed while still capturing the energy of Melbourne's pub culture and Federation Square," says venue manager Ebony King.

The new venue offers a variety of spaces for customers to find their place. There's the beer garden, designed to make outdoor drinking and dining comfortable in all weather, thanks to a permanent weather-protected structure. There are large screens for those wanting to catch a game, plus live music, DJs, and seasonal activations for punters looking for a good time. The Atrium is a light-filled space for dining and functions, and the Grove Bar & Terrace welcomes families with a playground and booth seating.

Classic pub dishes of fish and chips, parmas, and steaks are complemented by seasonal signature dishes ranging from sticky soy and chilli pork ribs to fried chicken with fermented chilli mayo and Spanner crab and prawn spaghetti with confit garlic and chilli butter.

Weekly highlights include beer garden DJs on Thursdays and Fridays, roaming musicians on Fridays and Saturdays, and Sunday roasts plus kids' entertainment. The pub will also showcase major activations throughout the calendar, including screenings of the World Cup and State of Origin.
