Overview
At Sophie Gannon Gallery in Richmond, Cressida Campbell's woodblock prints sit on the same roster as furniture designer Danielle Brustman and product designer Ashley Eriksmoen. This mix also runs through painters Monica Rohan and Fiona McMonagle, sculptors Juz Kitson and Adam Pyett, and Natasha Bieniek, Laura Jones, Huseyin Sami and Mason Kimber.
That dual focus was built in from the start: Sophie Gannon opened the Richmond gallery in 2006, treating art and design as one program rather than two separate audiences. Two adjoining spaces carry a full annual calendar of curated, group and solo shows, plus off-site artist projects and private and public commissions.
The program also travels — the gallery regularly takes part in commercial art and design fairs beyond Richmond.
