Overview

Having spent the second half of the year on numerous side projects and finishing off their sixth album, local indie-rock legends The Phoenix Foundation will break out of the studio and reunite for a two-night residency at Wellington’s MOON.

The band are a prolific lot. After releasing their canny EP Tom's Lunch mid year, a good deal of the members set off to scratch other musical itches. Samuel F. Scott and Tom Callwood released an album under the moniker Bunnies on Ponies, while Luke Buda launched his side project Teeth onto the stage.

To mark the upcoming occasion and the holiday season, the band has reposted their Christmas themed avant-pop song ‘God Rest Ye Merry Men’. It's available for free download for those feeling festive.

On both nights they will be joined by gypsy-rock songwriter Fraser Ross
