Overview

Twenty-seven may seem pretty old compared to the teen-filled bands you see rolling around the blogosphere, but British songstress Jessie Ware has hit her prime at this age after providing vocals for SBTRKT's debut LP tracks 'Right Thing to Do' and 'Sanctuary'.

Ware's dark and downright seductive vocal ability became a talking point within the right crowds after she appeared on the producers' acclaimed album, and the Brixton local was quickly snapped up by PMR and Island Records. The end result: the stunning Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Devotion.

Building herself around R&B and soul, Jessie Ware puts on live performances that have been said to be mesmerising. This should make you very excited, as she is heading to Australia for the first time next year, with two intimate shows announced in Melbourne and Sydney.

But don't stress if you're not a Melbourne/Sydney local; Ware will also be appearing at this year's Laneway Festival.
