Illustration and photography collide to unlock new perspectives in a stunning series by Belgian-based artist Ben Heine. Heine's Pencil vs. Camera project began in 2010. Recent new additions displayed here were created for Art Official Concept, an art gallery in Cape Verde, West Africa.
Heine portrays an overwhelming sense of hope in these pictures of daily life in the Republic of Cape Verde. Vibrant colours from the real world unite with inspirational ideas flowing from Heine's pencil.
