SEVEN SYDNEY BARS NOW DELIVERING COCKTAILS AND WINE STRAIGHT TO YOUR DOORSTEP

Support your local and order one-litre negronis, longnecks and Quaran-tinnies to enjoy on your couch.

The world is changing quickly and so is Sydney's hospitality scene. We've gone from the announcement of pubs, restaurants and cafes closing to the somewhat silver lining of a temporary lift on restrictions of hospitality venues offering takeaway and home-delivery alcohol. Meaning now you can get booze delivered straight from the bar to your front porch.

Whether you're after wine, tinnies, freshly shaken cocktails or longnecks of 'hipster draught', a number of Sydney bars — and we're sure there'll be more — are ensuring you don't go thirsty while social distancing. Better yet, by ordering from these guys, you'll be supporting small, local businesses. So, if it looks like you need to restock your liquor cabinet, here are seven of the best boozy delivery deals around town.

If you choose to pick up these drinks rather than have them delivered, have a look at the latest COVID-19 advice and social-distancing guidelines from the Department of Health.

The CBD’s fun-loving multilevel spot may have turned off the music for now, but it’s still bringing the party — it’ll just be at your house instead. Prince of York has cracked open its hidden wine vault and is offering a huge selection of the rare wines, a few beers and one-litre bottled cocktails — think negronis, margaritas and gimlets — for delivery or contactless pick up. And you can order some top-notch pastas, too. Dubbed Party @ Home, the new service is a collaboration with Moonshine Music and will include playlists, so you can fire up the dance floor (in your kitchen).

How? You can check out the menu and order at Prince of York website.

This Paddington go-to now has takeaway and delivery available every Tuesday through Sunday. Alongside a range of Latin American-inspired tapas, you’ll find a long list of tasty cocktails. There are classics like a negronis, margaritas, old fashioneds and martinis, as well as a few house specials — the namesake Tequila Mockingbird is a winner. Best of all, they’re only $14 for a regular size. If you’d like to go big, though, you can also get a 700-millilitre cocktail for $84 and a 1.5-litre one for $168. The bar is also donating meals to Sydney’s homeless and encouraging customers to do the same via the donate option online. Delivery is available to a number of inner east suburbs or you can pick up in person.

How? To order delivery, call (02) 9062 8566 or head here.

Last year, this 1950s Vegas-inspired bar was named one of the top 50 in the world, this year it’s selling bottled cocktails. While you won’t get the slick service, you can bet the batched cocktails are damn good. On offer, there are three reinvented classics, all inspired by members of the Rat Pack — Sammy, Dean and Frank — as well as a negroni. Bottles come in either 500 millilitres ($60) or 90 millilitres ($15). Packs of three are also available for $40 (three 90-millilitre bottles) or $160 (three 500-millilitre bottles). You can either pick up your order from its sister venues Maybe Frank in Surry Hills and Maybe Frank Randwick or ask for it to be dropped off on your doorstep.

    How? To order, email cocktails@maybesammy.com⁣.

Dubbed PS40 Sofa Series, the CBD bar’s new delivery service features a selection of old and new favourites — Breakfast Negroni, Lunar Festival, Raspberries + Cream and Jean Claude Pandan — to choose from. We’re partial to the Breakfast Negroni, which is made from coffee, banana bread, tonka bean, gin, Campari and vermouth. While delivery is free within Sydney, there’s a minimum order of 500 millilitres. Each drink has a shelf life of one month.

How? Orders can be made via direct message to PS40’s Instagram page.

Usually, you might hop into Continental Deli’s in Newtown or the CBD for a Mar-tinny. Now, you’ll be knocking back a Quaran-tinny — and you can do so while sitting on your couch. The venue describes it as “like a normal martini, but you drink it alone in your house”. You can order it — alongside the bar’s other famed Can-hattans, Ameri-can-os, Cosmopoli-tins and Negronis In a Tin — for pick up and delivery. Also available to go: sandwiches, cured meats, tinned seafood and pantry essentials.

How? Order delivery via the Bopple app.
