A Return to the Trees – Strings Attached
Aerial choreography cuts through a fantasy apocalyptic world.
Overview
The Australian premiere of A Return to the Trees from Strings Attached features innovative aerial choreography in an exploration of a fantasy apocalyptic world. Performed in, on, and around a digitally transformed 8 metre steel structure, the live physical movement and dance expresses a need to investigate the looming future of the human race.
The video projections alter and warp the performers' surroundings to establish a dream-like stage. Strings Attached questions the "psychological transformations that society may experience as a consequence of overpopulation, technological advancement and climate change" in this stunning show.
