Overview

This month, galleries and creative spaces across Sydney will throw open their doors for a massive celebration of contemporary art and artists for Art Month Sydney's milestone tenth anniversary. As part of this year's jam-packed lineup, Art Month Sydney is hosting a series of after-work tours of the city's most prolific art precincts. And it's kicking things off with a walking tour around Paddington and Woollahra on Thursday, March 7.

If you're curious to see what Sydney's artists are producing, this is a great chance to peruse a whole host of exhibitions in one night. More than 20 local galleries will stay open late, including Australian Galleries, Australian Centre for Photography, Gallery 9, Cement Fondu, Wagner Contemporary, KORBAN/FLAUBERT and more. To get involved, simply explore the Art Month Sydney map here, pop on some comfy shoes and start your tour at 6pm.

Once you've finished your trail, make your way back to the National Art School for the tenth anniversary party from 8–10pm. There'll be a pop-up bar, music and live performances by writer and performance artist Brian Fuata and Megan Hanson, and look out for a new installation by Brendan Van Hek, who works with neon light, glass and furniture.
