Overview
No matter their age, profession or walk of life, dads have a few common tics and behaviours that make them stand out in a crowd: explosive sneezes, couch naps, verbal jargon and the like. But chief among all dad behaviours is the dad stance. Spine straight, arms cocked and hands on hips or clasped behind back, feet spread just past hip width and eyes locked ahead, squinting with careful scrutiny.
That very stance is about to be immortalised in the history books, with ECOVACS Robotics and celebrity guest Steven Bradbury hosting a Guinness World Records™ Title Attempt for Most People Performing 'Dad Stance' Simultaneously this Saturday, July 18. And no matter your age or parental status, you can channel your inner dad and take part for free.
If you've ever considered joining a movie night from halfway across the living room, carefully examined neighbourhood geopolitics from the window or looked upon a freshly cleaned house or garden, then you know what the dad stance is made of. Suppose you've got what it takes, head to The Calyx in Royal Botanic Gardens of Sydney for an 11.30 registration cutoff ahead of the 12pm attempt. Register ahead of time here.

ECOVACS, the host of the world record attempt, is launching a new range of outdoor robotics to take care of tedious lawn, pool and window cleaning. That means dads and all other household cleaning specialists can get stancing faster to examine a job done for them, and done well. All of these products and more will be present for product demonstrations throughout the event.
Beyond the world record and robotic cleaner lineup, you'll also be able to enjoy a meet and greet with former figure skater Steven Bradbury, a free sausage sizzle, prize wheel, and a dedicated dad stance photo zone. Don't forget to bring dad for that authentic touch.
ECOVACS' Guinness World Records™ Title Attempt for Most People Attempting 'Dad Stance' Simultaneously will take place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, July 18 at The Calyx in Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. For more information or to register your participation, visit the website.
