The June long weekend is right around the corner and to celebrate the extra day off, our pals at ivy are throwing a four-day bender of royal proportions — it is the Queen's birthday, after all. So, buckle up for seven parties across four days at the George Street institution.
The ivy Weekender will kick off on Thursday, June 10 and run till Sunday, June 13 at the ivy Precinct in Sydney's CBD. Start your weekend early with producer Stace Cadet on the decks on Thursday night and back it up on Friday at What So Not's first headline show in over a year.
On Saturday, you can dive deep into drum and bass during daylight hours with Netsky and rising star Kanine and then go UFO spotting with Sneaky Sound System that evening at POOF DOOF. Here, you can also check out performances from some of the country's most-loved queens — and we're not talking about Lizzy. Or, Saturday head to Boogie at Pool Club, with a live set by Alex Preston.
Hip hop fans should get poolside on Sunday where some of Sydney's finest hip hop and R&B DJs will be heating things up from 1pm till late. The lineup includes A Shuffle, Beast Mode and Nino Brown. Plus, a new house and techno party by the crew that run Lost Paradise — Lost Sundays — featuring Eden Burns, Harvey Sutherland, Loods and a secret headliner.
ivy Weekender is part of Sydney Solstice and will take place from Thursday, June 10 to Sunday June 13 at the ivy Precinct in Sydney's CBD. For more information and to peep the full lineup, visit the website here.
