Overview
The KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix is hurtling its way back to Sydney Harbour and coming in hot for a February championship event in Sydney Harbour. SailGP is a globally-touring series of races in the high-speed fleet of ten nations and their impressive F50 catamarans.
Take a wild guess at which nation is one of the leading teams: that's right, Aussie Aussie Aussie! Crewed by six career sailors, the Flying Roos are one of the championship's original six teams and the only winner of the global series since it was founded in 2019. We're not just good — we're undefeated.
At the time of writing, Australia has a seven-point lead against the Denmark team in second place. So this will be a race for the history books when it hits the Sydney Harbour on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25, 2024.
You can catch the action from a range of spectator areas. There's the option to experience the ultimate view on Genesis Island with all-inclusive food and beverages, live race commentary and boat transfers from Barangaroo. The Genesis Island vantage point is available for Silver and Bronze ticket-buyers and provides a variety of boarding times to Shark Island.
Otherwise, you can properly get in the splash zone on an open-top Official Spectator Boat, book a spot with a privately-owned vessel inside the public exclusion zone, or go full luxe with a chartered spectator superyacht.
Sailing superfans can also watch the teams prepare for battle on a Team Base Tour before watching the live broadcast of the race on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.
The KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix in Sydney is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and primary events agency, Destination NSW. The event is also supported by Genesis and SKYY Vodka. For more information and to secure your tickets, visit the website.
