Overview
The advent of the music blog has been reshaping the musical landscape with the likes of stereogum, pitchfork etc. almost determining the future of bands with their gospel.
If we turn our collective digital attention back to our big dry country, there are some heavy hitters in the blogosphere here too (see Polaroids of Androids, A Reminder etc). One of these, the very boganesquely titled Who The Bloody Hell Are They, is this week programming indie establishment Mum at World Bar. The acts appearing are some of whothehell's picks of Sydney's music scene at the moment, including Megastick Fanfare with their organic and percussive yet melodic back-to-Africa sound and local folk troubadour Fergus Brown who's been demanding some attention lately for his whimsical and light hearted tunes.
Other upstarts Peacocks and The Winter People are playing live as well as the whothehell bloggers themselves arming the decks.
