Open 107: 107 Projects Open Day
107 Projects is opening its doors to you for one day of art, music, lunch, art, poetry, time in the rooftop garden and more art.
Overview
Since it first opened its doors in 2012, 107 Projects has been a great creative hub for Sydney artists to exhibit, perform and workshop their work. Every year, 107 Projects really opens its doors with Open 107, the space's annual open day, where Sydneysiders can have a stickybeak and get among the art.
It's basically an all-access pass to check out what goes on behind the gallery, complete with music by the New Sound Waves crew and artist talks and other creative fun like performance art and life drawing. Expect to see works from artists Alexandra Clapham and Penelope Benton, the peeps from the Sydney Story Factory, films from Kino Sydney and activities with Milkwood Permaculture, who crowdfunded a rooftop garden atop the building.
If you're looking for some inspiration, definitely make a day of it — there'll be food and drink, the opportunity to get your hands dirty in artsy workshops and time to stop and reflect on your past, current or future creative pursuits in that rooftop garden.
