Overview

Imagine being inside a giant fractal, with lights and colours moving around you in repetitive, strangely hypnotic patterns. That's sort of how we picture Natalie Abbott's new performance artwork, Physical Fractals, which is meant to be "an up-close, sensory experience — a dance work that consumes space and bends time".

Acclaimed choreographer Natalie Abbott and dancer Rebecca Jensen are taking Physical Fractals to Sydney after successful runs at the Next Wave and Dance Massive festivals in Melbourne, where they are based.

Audience members are invited to watch as "two bodies drop and rise, weaving repetitive movements within a circle of witnesses, building tension with changes in sight and sound. Time appears to stretch as movement becomes faster and more fluid. Space becomes tighter as sound thickens and lights flash."
