Head over to Work-Shop in Redfern and learn the beautiful, ancient Japanese dying technique of Shibori. Much fancier than tie-dye, Shibori turns pre-reduced indigo crystals into a blue dye, which is then used to generate unique patterns and designs on material. Led by artist Jess Organ, you'll learn four different methods, and create four unique patterns and styles on the fabric of your choice. The creative class is a great opportunity to revamp old, but still useable clothing and furnishings. Bring old shirts, tablecloths and scarves, and breathe new life into them, making one-of-a-king indigo masterpieces.
