Every two years, people from across Queensland and NSW flock to the town of Stanthorpe to celebrate the harvest of all produce from the Granite Belt region. The Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival began life way back in 1954, and now attracts an average of 60,000 visitors throughout its ten days of events and entertainment.

The 2020 event will take place from Friday, February 28, to Sunday, March 8. All the best country festival traditions will be part of the program, including the celebrity grape crushing championships, golf and bowls tournaments, bike rides, busking competitions, market stalls, art exhibitions, open gardens, a grand parade and the Food and Wine Fiesta at Weeroona Park, which runs March 7–8 and is $10 entry or $25 for a three-day pass.

Less than three hours drive from Brisbane and Byron Bay, the quaint town of Stanthorpe welcomes thousands of visitors throughout the festival, so organise accommodation early — the good town's folk even open up the Stanthorpe Showgrounds for camping.
