Overview

It's hard to find a venue in Sydney that hasn't been hit by the Vivid bug. From Mexican and marg specials at Henley's to light-inspired cocktails at The Rook and plant-based dining at a pop-up roller skating rink, there are eats and drinks galore to try before, during and after light-seeing.

The latest spot to announce it's taking up the mantle is Chin Chin, with Hollywood Hours. From Sunday–Thursday evenings during the festival, the restaurant's GoGo Bar will be transformed into a glowing tribute to the 2001 thriller, Vanilla Sky.

You'll be immersed in a moody atmosphere with light displays while sipping on $20 cocktails, including the Dream State (a heady mix of whisky, mezcal and apricot). Meanwhile, the $14 snack menu offers laksa prawn buns, moo ping pork skewers and more.

Hollywood Hours is one stop along Surry Hills' Vivid Neon Trail. Loads of venues around the neighbourhood, including Butter, Firedoor and Harry's, will be lighting up with film-inspired words, images and scenes.
