The end of summer is a bittersweet affair. As the days get shorter and sudden cold snaps dominate office small talk, it can feel like the only saving grace is the arrival of winter and the annual exodus for the sunny shores of Europe. But you don't need to endure the wait until winter (or an excruciating multi-layover flight) to luxuriate in the Euro-beach lifestyle.

Sydney's very own Mediterranean experience lies in Mosman at St Siandra, a sun-soaked waterfront restaurant that stands as a must-visit before summer runs its course. Set on a private beach in Middle Harbour, the restaurant not only has all the ingredients for seeing out summer in style — but the set up for it too, with limited-run beach deck chairs, bringing a little dose of Italian shores to Sydney.

Secure your spot on St Siandra's private beach by booking in advance and get ready for a trip to the shore that's world's apart from your typical beach fix. St Siandra's experience marries luxury with leisure with Business & Pleasure deck chairs set up by the water. Simply relax, indulge in a snack and enjoy the sheer decadence of having bubbly delivered to your prime perch on the water's edge. Reserve your deck chairs for anywhere between two to six people and feel like you're on a Euro-trip with your nearest and dearest.

Inside, away from the sandy shores, St Siandra's continues to exude vacation vibes with a menu that's an ode to holiday dining and the flavours of the Mediterranean. Freshly-caught seafood plays a starring role on the menu, which has been designed by head chef Sam McCallum, whose last gig before St Siandra happened to be at a two-hatted restaurant. His experience continues to show in his commitment to sourcing the highest quality produce and ingredients, preferring local suppliers wherever possible.

The menu also reflects McCallum's appreciation of everything there is to love about summer barbecues, and his view that summer's most memorable moments often take place on someone's balcony or in their backyard with simple food elevated by quality ingredients and fantastic company. St Siandra's menu captures this essence — without guests needing to do any of the hard yards of prep, cooking or clean up.

Visually, the vacation vibes don't end with the restaurant's beachfront location either. Touches throughout combine to transport you to Europe at its summery best. Every seat in the restaurant boasts views of the water, conspiring with the warm-hued, Amalfi-inspired interiors (the dining room is by interior designer Sally Taylor and the furniture is a mix of pieces sourced locally and from Italy) to beguile guests into momentarily forgetting they're in fact in Mosman, not the Mediterranean. So much so, it's even possible to sail straight into St Siandra's private beach aboard your own (or a rented) vessel and disembark immediately into an awaiting deck chair or a seat inside. Talk about an entrance.

A full drinks menu is available from brunch until dusk, so that long, unrushed meals inside can be paired with a beverage no matter where the sun sits in the sky. Said menu includes top local tipples such as Manly Spirits Co.'s Limoncello on the rocks, keeping the Med vibes strong. For relaxed dining that doesn't require leaving the perch of a deck chair, St Siandra also has you covered with a grazing-friendly menu which includes flatbread, oysters and calamari that can be brought straight out to you.

See out summer from a beachside deck chair and book now at St Siandra.
