If New South Wales' eased restrictions have you feeling festive, we don't blame you. Heading out for a drink and a feed with mates is a big part of why we live in the city. While we don't doubt you've already hit the town a few times since Sydney's hospo scene started back up again, Australian Venue Co is giving you even more reason to go out for a catch up. To celebrate life slowly getting back to normal, the hospitality group is taking 50 percent off your bill every day for a whole month.
No joke. All 12 of its NSW bars, pubs and restaurants will be slinging all food, cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and even champagne for cheap. The catch? You'll have to get down there between 5–6pm. Yep, it's a short window — but a wallet-friendly one.
Sydneysiders back in their CBD offices (or not) will be glad to know harbourfront bars Cargo, Bungalow8, Untied, and rooftop bar The Rook are all participating. You can also drop into Surry Hills garden bar The Winery for a half-price tipple and some Mediterranean-style snacks, Kingsleys at Woolloomooloo wharf for a cheap early dinner and Darling Harbour brew haven Beer DeLuxe for some light-on-the-wallet schooeys.
Cargo
Unfortunately, the deal doesn't apply to any of AVC's private igloos, but you could always time it so you can sneak in a mulled wine before you settle into your own winter wonderland.
To get the deal, you just have to download the AVC app here, hit up any of its Sydney bars between 5–6pm and claim the 50 percent discount off your total bill.
