Bon Appetit Selera Malaysia has been serving up casual, generous servings of Malay food on Enmore Road since May 2018.
And it's running a pretty sweet banquet deal. Available every night of the week for dinner, and between Tuesday and Sunday for lunch, its all-you-can-eat jackpot will only set you back $11.90. Yep, $11.90. While it is a buffet, it's a buffet stocked with quality Malaysian fare — no lukewarm scrambled egg or dry sangas here.
It's stocked with everything from beef rendang to sweet and sour fish and roti canai, and there are a heap of vegetarian and vegan options, too, including eggplant masala and vegan tom yum soup.
As well as the all-you-can-eat buffet, Bon Appetit has a comprehensive à la carte menu, which features ten types of roti. You could go savoury with a roti telur (filled with egg and served with curry sauce and sambal) or sweet — with a roti Nutella topped with ice cream.
If you've tasted everything and you're in a curry stupor, wash it down with a Teh Tarik (a hot milk tea beverage) or an Air Bandung (a sweet, pink Malaysian drink) — Bon Appetit offers free (non-alcoholic) drinks if you spend $40 or more on food.
While it won't be the best Malaysian feast you have in Sydney, it's tasty, fast and really really cheap.
