Mohr Fish - CLOSED
Can Sydney's best fish 'n' chips be found in Surry Hills?
Overview
It may be contentious to call out Sydney's best fish and chips — but once you taste the Mohr Fish version, you'll agree with us. Operating since 1992, this Surry Hills mainstay has long been considered the tops when it comes to this takeaway classic. Here, it's all about beer battering, with the perfectly golden brown fish paired with equally impressive chips (or mash and salad, if you're a nonconformist). Sure, there's heaps more on the menu, including crumbed and grilled fish, burgers and fish cakes, along with a range of other seafood — think sichuan pepper soft shell crab and steamed mussels. But we guarantee you'll be left with enormous food envy if anyone in your group gets the good ol' fashioned fish and chips.
