Overview
Rose Bay Marina welcomes a new, relaxed Modern Australian venue, set to become a neighbourhood hangout. Ripples Rose Bay, by SRG Hospitality, is designed to be a laid-back, morning-to-evening venue that adds to the Ripples portfolio of venues operating in iconic spots such as Little Manly and Chowder Bay.
SRG Hospitality, a family-run Australian company overseen and operated by the Drakopoulos siblings, is responsible for some of Sydney's most respected restaurants including Sails, The James, The Neilsen and HarbourWatch. Alongside Ripples Rose Bay, SRG will also open Riva at Rose Bay Marina at the same site, marking the group's most significant expansion to date.

"Rose Bay Marina is one of those sites that doesn't need an introduction. Sydneysiders have a genuine affection for this location, and we don't take that lightly. For us, it's less about making a statement and more about doing the site justice, with two venues that feel like they genuinely belong here," says Perry Drakopoulos.
Sitting below Riva, Ripples Rose Bay is designed to be a local staple, whether for morning coffees, leisurely lunches, or laidback dinners. Generous share plates and seafood steer the menu, think fresh oysters, prawns and locally sourced whole fish, with a beverage list featuring Australian producers, with the always-handy option to BYO.

"We want dishes to feel generous, fresh and approachable. Strong execution and clean flavours, rather than overcomplicating the food. The waterfront location reminds me of some venues I worked at overseas, where the seafood is king. We want to create food connected to the location to offer the best experience for our guests," says executive chef Marco Masotti.
"Ripples has been part of Sydney's waterfront since we opened at Milsons Point in 2002, and every venue since has been built around the same idea: great food, a genuine connection to the water, and somewhere people actually want to come back to. Rose Bay is the next chapter in that story, and we want it to feel exactly the same way," says Daniel Drakopoulos.

While Riva will be more refined and upmarket with polished mahogany timber and scalloped dining chairs, Ripples is intended to be entirely relaxed with a natural, beachy feel. Perry Drakopoulos says, "It's about longevity, something that feels like it has always been there. We applied what we call the 'barefoot test', a place you can arrive barefoot for breakfast, lunch or dinner and still feel entirely comfortable."
