Overview

Reopened in December 2016, the $1.5 billion International Convention Centre Sydney will boast three new theatres, an entertainment precinct, an open-air event deck and more.

The space features three epic entertainment venues. The ultra contemporary ICC Sydney Theatre is a tiered venue capable of seating 8000 or holding 9000 with GA standing floor. According to ICC Sydney, the theatre "has been specially designed to host the world's greatest performers and entertainment spectaculars with state-of-the-art technical facilities." Meanwhile the Darling Harbour Theatre has 2500 seats tiered and is more intimate, with the furthest seat just 32m from the stage. Last and most snug, the Pyrmont Theatre seats 1000. Entry to the main theatre at ICC Sydney will see you entering underneath a 180-square-metre screen with large scale projections.

The function areas boast some pretty spectacular qualities as well. Sitting on the roof of the exhibition centre is a 5000-square-metre event deck, offset with a bar and lounge area and views over Tumbalong Park and the city. Located on the very top floor of the building, there is an actual ballroom, fit to host banquets, galas and large-scale functions.

Finally, the space plays host to a busy roster of exhibitions throughout the year covering a broad range of genres.
