Overview

Glamping fiends have a new go-to escape from city life as eco-accommodation Turon Gates adds six glamping tents to its 6000-acres of bushland. Located a three-hour drive from Sydney in Capertee, just north of the Blue Mountains, the riverside tents offer an ideal getaway and chance to reconnect with nature — in style, of course.

The rather cavernous tents sit on 65–75 square metres of land and boast a romantic four-poster bed, an ensuite with a two-person bathtub and a kitchenette with a Nespresso coffee machine and a Danish wood burner stove. There's also wifi, a daybed, a living area and an expansive deck, which overlooks the river and comes complete with two lounge chairs. And it's all solar powered to boot.

Each guest receives a complimentary bottle of local wine and honey on arrival, and each tent is stocked with board games, magazines and books, too. If you want to go real luxe, you can also get a massage — inside your tent.

For outdoor activities, guests can book horseback riding or canoeing within the property, as well as enjoy bush walks aplenty, where you're likely to come across kangaroos, wombats and echidnas.

Turon Gates Glamping sites are now open for booking at 942 Upper Turon Road, Capertee. A two-person tent starts at $171 per night.
