Belles Hot Chicken Pop-Up at Shepherd
The fryers of "really fucking hot" chicken will be touching down for two days.
Overview
Australian cult classic Belles Hot Chicken is coming to Wellington for a two-day pop-up at Shepherd. Like lots of famous things that Australia likes to take credit for, Belles Hot Chicken is actually the brainchild of renowned New Zealand chef Morgan (Morgy) McGlone and Miranda Campbell. The pair started selling their "really fucking hot" fried chicken matched with natural wines at their Gertrude Street restaurant in Melbourne and have since opened three more stores in Melbourne and three in Sydney.
The Belles pop-up at Shepherd will feature Hawke's Bay free-range organic Bostock chickens and a glasses of smashable natural wine selected by Dan Gillett of Wine Diamonds. As well as baskets of fried goodness, there'll be chicken sammies, killer sauces and finger-licking good sides of fries, braised greens and slaw. No bookings required, just bring yourself and an empty belly (and maybe a bib).
Shepherd Pop-Up dates:
Monday 9 October, 5pm until sold out.
Tuesday 10 October, lunch 12pm until sold out and dinner 5pm until sold out.
