Overview

Homegrown gig visionaries Breaking Beats NZ are bringing Wellington a freshly minted mini-festival. For one day only the Capital Funk Festival will take over Queen's Wharf across multiple venues. Stages will fill with local and international artists, with world-class sound, visuals and lighting to match.

Headliners include local legends The Upbeats, who'll bring their dreamy soundscapes and hard rhythms to the stage. Joining them will also be the Canadian Funk Hunters, and fresh-off-the-mountain rave duo, Skiitour. Our beloved Foxglove will serve home to these headlining acts, transforming into a raver's paradise for the whole night. Over 20 DJs and MCs will also pack the festival lineup, promising a sonic smorgasbord of genres.

To celebrate the opening of this, hopefully, annual event, Breaking Beats are releasing the first 300 tickets for only $50. Either way, it's best to get in quick as capacity is limited and this is not a night to miss.
