Overview
For their latest dance work Footnote New Zealand Dance will combine two distinct choreographic styles. The double-bill, CONTRAST, will appear at Hannah Playhouse across two nights in November featuring the work of Sarah Foster-Sproull (Auckland) and Emma Murray (Switzerland).
Sarah Foster-Sproull's Super Ornate Construct invites you into a cut out world. A man stands alone with his thoughts while carefully placed scenes morph around him. With musical composition by Andrew Foster, this new work vibrates with imagery and original sound.
In Participation Emma Murray considers how we are built up and subsequently undone by those around us. Swiss sound designer, Till Hillbrecht, provides a musical backdrop to this exploration of first encounters and layered identities.
