Overview

200 artists, thousands of original New Zealand artworks, and everything's for sale. Held over the Queen's Birthday weekend from May 31 to June 3, the NZ Art Show is our country's largest sale of affordable and original Kiwi art.

With media and styles ranging from sculpture, paintings, and photography to feather art and pyrography, this year's show will have a little something for everyone. The NZ Art Show celebrates artists from all over the country, whether they're established or emerging. The event helps support these artists and their careers, as well as providing an affordable hub of artwork for New Zealanders to grow their art collection.

Hundreds of artists applied for the 2019 show and the standard was so high that executive director Carla Russell admitted that, "It was a very difficult job making the final selection." Along with regular exhibitors, this year's show will also showcase work from 60 undiscovered first-timers.

Now celebrating its 16th year, the talented team behind the NZ Art Show has worked hard to transform the TSB Bank Arena into a maze of engaging, original and thought-provoking artwork. With hundreds of undiscovered exhibiting artists, could you spot the next big talent?
