After 17 days of eating and drinking yourself happy at Wellington on a Plate, you'll be in need of a bit of a break from burger chomping, cocktail swilling and long lunches. On the last day of the food festival get yourself along to ConversatioNZ Symposium. This year's symposium explores what the New Zealand food scene could look like in 2030 with a delicious menu of international and local foodie stars coming along to stir up the discussion.

The international section of the speaker menu features New Zealander Ben Shewry of Melbourne's Attica, recently named in the World's Best 50 Restaurants and featured on Netflix's fantastically excellent Chef's Table. Also on offer is LA Times Food editor Jonathan Gold, the only food critic to have won a Pulitzer Prize and featured in this documentary.

There's a tasty lineup of New Zealand-based foodie movers and shakers who will be talking about their homegrown projects, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Kelli Brett, editor of Cuisine magazine. Lunch is provided by La Boca Loca and Mojo will take care of your caffeination requirements.

Make sure you plan your last WOAP supper for afterwards; all of that listening, thinking and talking will make you hungry.
