Overview

Back for another year, City Gallery's Fashun Statement is an event that will explore what ethical fashion means in 2019. Learn what it takes to build a sustainable fashion label, explore the importance of diversity and inclusion in fashion and join the discussion on what's next for eco-fashion globally.

The speaker lineup includes Gemma Cornish — the founder and creative director of eco surf brand Gemma Lee; Jennifer Whitty — an author, designer, educator and Senior Design Lecturer at Massey University; Elisha Watson — the founder of underwear brand Nisa; Steven Junil Park — founder of up-cycled garment label 6X4; Pania Greenway — of the self-titled brand which focuses on using natural fibres and promoting indigenous design; Danny Pritchard — the co-founder of eco-friendly  bag company Duffle & Co; plus Havilah Arendse — the founder of Havilah Label.
