Interviews
The territory between seeing and being seen.
Overview
Propaganda, surveillance and the boundaries between the public and the private. Peter Roche's contemporary work Interviews draws on the possibilities inherent in the viewer’s engagement with art and life itself. Consisting of photography, objects, lights and sound the Interviews exhibition explores the territory between seeing and being seen; when the subject becomes the object, and vice versa.
Roche has had art exhibition across New Zealand and overseas at the 1st Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, Brisbane and the 1st Korean Bienniale of Contemporary Art. The works shown have been created over a thirty year span of Roche's life.
